Travel specialist Heartwood was founded early in 2020, publishing and distributing a strong portfolio of complementary travel brands in the UK and across markets worldwide.
Our product range includes hundreds of travel guides, maps, globes, walking and cycling titles. We publish PopOut and Marco Polo in English language ourselves, as well as manage trade distribution for independent specialist publishers including Jonglez, Trailblazer, Sunflower, Duncan Petersen and Stellanova.
We specialise in the travel market so that we can provide a high level of expertise in the sector, building strong relationships with our customers to help all the brands we work with thrive.

Andy Riddle
Founder & Managing Director

Andy set up Heartwood in 2020 and enjoys involvement in all aspects of the business. He has spent over 30 years working in the publishing industry with experience in senior roles across a range of leading travel brands, including Marco Polo, PopOut, Lonely Planet, Footprint, Pathfinder and Time Out.
Diane McEntee
Head of Sales Operations

Diane ensures that our trade sales operation runs professionally with our publisher partners, sales teams, customers, distributors and the various agencies we work with to ensure the smooth flow of information. She is especially well placed to do this with over 25 years in publishing and bookselling for Waterstones, WH Smith, Marco Polo, GeoCenter, Footprint and PopOut.
Tania Ross
Key Account Manager

Tania is the first point of contact with our UK key accounts, working closely with them to understand their strategies for travel, and presenting new titles and editions to ensure the right ranges appear in store. She has a great breadth of travel sector sales experience across brands and companies that include GeoCenter, APA, Marco Polo, PopOut and Footprint.
